Kake & Kookies, LLC is a home-based bakery located in Clayton, NC. Our cakes have garnered national attention, having been featured in Munaluchi Bridal Magazine, with a special highlight in the 2018 Muna Serenade. We are dedicated to bringing loved ones together through their shared affection for desserts, which is why our motto is 'Everyone’s Love Language.' In essence, we believe our desserts represent the new universal language of love.
Each of our sweet treats is lovingly made to order from scratch. We take great pride in crafting desserts that are not only light and moist but also made with the highest quality ingredients to ensure every bite tastes heavenly. For us, it's essential that our desserts are as delightful to taste as they are beautiful to behold.

Meet the Owner

Born into a family of matriarchs that loved to bake, Keisha Leary, developed a passion for baking at an early age. Her first attempt at baking started with the easy bake oven her mother bought her when she was 12 years old. She made a delicious mini chocolate cake that was moist and fluffy. Keisha's love for desserts only grew as they became the highlight of Sunday dinners with her mother. As an adult, Keisha would bake cupcakes for all social gatherings and special occasions.

Although life took Keisha in a different direction to pursue a master's degree and career in mental health counseling; it wasn't until she decided to stay home to raise her son with several food allergies that she fell back in love with baking and created Kake & Kookies, LLC.

As a self-taught baker, Keisha continues to seek knowledge to enhance and develop her skills with new techniques and Improved recipes. It is important to Keisha that she focuses on her growth while providing exceptional customer service and high quality ingredients made from scratch.
